Bart Oostindie is a Dutch musician who also works as a producer. His singer-songwriter career enables him to work with and write for lots of other musicians such as Arno Adams, Sherry Dyanne, Dutch Pop Idol Dewi, and the popular Dutch group Treble to name a few. His music comprises of variety of excellent tunes, ranging from pop-indie, rock sound to jazzy notes.
Bart's teen years went by travelling throughout Europe with an acoustic guitar, while his love for jazz music brought him back to Holland where he decided to study at the conservatory. In 2002, Bart joined the popular Dutch soul/funk band Mo'Jones with whom he played on the North Sea Jazz festival in 2003. Together with piano player Mike Roelofs, Bart has formed his own project with Mike Roelofs and Leon Bartels: Down South. With Down South Bart released the album “One On One”.
In 2004 Bart decided to focus on his song writing. As having a sound of his own, Bart won the prestigious Alfa Award in 2005 with his song“Grandson”. Afterwards, Bart has formed the Bart Oostindie Band, published
'Grandson' EP and his brand new album “Welcome to the Costume Ball”, with which he proves once again to be one of the most talented, upcoming artists in the Netherlands.
